A Perfect Pair | Lake Lanier Island Resorts Wedding {Outdoor Wedding Photographer}

On a beautiful Friday in the mountains of North Georgia, Lakeside Erin and Rick exchanged their vows just before sunset. They flew in from Houston to celebrate with their family and friends, many traveling from afar, ending the week at the lake and celebration of the Fourth of July with their beautiful wedding. After getting to know these two via emails, a couple of phone calls and a Skype date I was really excited to meet them. Erin has a natural grace about her and when surrounded by her family, friends and future sister-in-laws the excitement and joy in the room overflowed.

Rick is such a gentleman, easy going and not afraid to cut loose with his guys. What happened in the "man cabin" will stay there but what we can say is that each of these guys had a very good time... and when the time came Rick kept a calm demeanor but deep down inside he was pretty excited and very ready to see his bride.

Erin- you were absolutely gorgeous and so poised. Your kind heart shines from within. It was an absolute honor to be there with you on the day of your wedding, to see the joy, love and happiness you share with Rick and your families and to see you guys become husband and wife. I wish you the very best in your future together!

While Rick made his final preparations in getting ready...

Erin slipped into her dress.

These were the sweetest grandparents I've ever met. Ever. They were missionaries to Guatemala for 30 years and still visit as often as they can. They're fluent in Spanish and her grandma still rocks a jump rope every morning.

absolutely precious.

Erin and Rick opted for a first look... and I'm so glad they did!

Rick you're pretty handsome yourself.

It's hard to believe this was their first time in front of my camera. You guys were amazing!

and then it was time to get married. Thankfully their ceremony was at 7pm and it wasn't nearly as hot as it had been earlier in the day!

and because I have the most amazing couples in the world... just as they'd been served their main entree the sun began to set.... and when asked they happily got up from their seats back to the lawn so we could snap just a few pictures with the sunset. Seriously- they rock!

in lieu of a cake they had a table full of homemade treats. They looked delicious!

let the party begin.

and just as soon as it had started it was time for them to leave. (Thanks to the fabulous capture by Lydia)
