A Marine and His Bride | {Destination Wedding Pictures}

It was stormy, wet and quite cool for an area that all Summer had experienced record highs and the worst drought they'd ever seen. You didn't have to look any farther than the fields of corn that were no more than 3 or 4 feet high (rather than 6-8 feet high). They'd received enough moisture recently though the grass was green and as an answer to prayer the storm clouds moved out and the sun came out to shine on the day of Elly and Tyler's wedding. Their families and friends had traveled from as far away as California and New Jersey to be a part of their special day and to celebrate these two and the love they share. Last Fall I met Elly and Tyler when I traveled to California and shot their engagement session. Tyler was getting ready to be deployed for the second time and those two afternoons were some of the most special afternoons I'd spent with any couple... as it was clear they soaked up every single minute of being together knowing that it wasn't long before they'd be a world apart.

Thankfully Tyler returned a couple of months ago and he was more than ready to marry his Bride. Elly with her friends spent the morning getting ready while Tyler chilled with his closest guy friends waiting.. Tyler anxiously awaiting the chance he'd have to see his bride so very soon.

A special thanks to Mike for coming over from Fort Wayne to assist for the day. Elly and Tyler it was an absolute honor to be your photographer and tell your story. You guys share such a real and special love- never let the laughter, smiles and giddiness of being together fade. I wish you all the very best!

So beautiful.

They decided to do a first look and those first moments they shared together were absolutely beautiful!

I absolutely love the image on the right!

So pockets were a requirement for Elly when she went dress shopping.. and it was simply because she insisted having her phone with her at all times. Surprised Tyler?

Such a FUN group of ladies!

Sisterly love. She had one of the sweetest speeches I've ever heard.

Sweet, sweet speech. She had everyone in tears.
