Puppy Love to the day of "I Do" | {Marietta Wedding Pictures}
I didn't have the words to describe just how special, fun and meaningful this wedding day was. With a loss for words and hours spent trying to narrow down my "favorites" I kindly asked sweet Ali (the bride) if she'd share their wedding story for you. She gladly obliged and did a far better job than I ever could have!

So here's Ali & JD. Enjoy!
"Our wedding day was eight and a half years in the making. I had been dreaming of my wedding since I was 4 and dreaming of getting married to JD since I was 14. Needless to say, there was a lot of anticipation before our big day.
I met JD when we were in the 8th grade. There was something about him that I was instantly drawn to and I guess the feeling was mutual because after a few weeks of shameless flirting and note passing, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. What started out as puppy love gradually turned into a deep love for each other that carried us through our high school and college years.
JD surprised me by proposing on the beach last June. When we started thinking about our dream wedding, we immediately had the idea to get married at the Marietta Campground. The campground is a hidden treasure tucked behind a few trees right off a busy street in Marietta. JD and I have been going to church services together under the 175 year old arbor since our first summer together and it holds a special place in our hearts. Our reception was in the beautiful ballrooms at the Marietta Country Club where everyone danced the night away.
A lot of people told me that my wedding day would feel like a blur but I think I remember almost every little detail. I spent most of the day alternating between smiling and crying happy tears at the beauty of the whole day. Luckily, the weather was absolutely wonderful and there was hardly a cloud in the sky! We truly felt like it was God smiling down us.
Thanks to my aunt and cousin, the arbor was completely transformed on our wedding day with the most gorgeous lights, draping, and flowers. My mom and I had worked for so long on all the little details from the signs to the programs that it was surreal seeing it all finally come together.
I don't know if it actually hit me until I saw JD standing at the end of the aisle that this was it! I still get butterflies every time I think about walking down the aisle towards him with everyone we loved watching. It was definitely my favorite part of the day.
Our wedding day unfolded perfectly thanks all of our vendors, family, and friends who went above and beyond to make our day special. It was such an emotional day and we felt so much love surrounding us."
Her sweet grandma gave her special perfume to wear on her wedding day- so each time she wears it she'll remember the big day.

The last love letter she'd read from her first and only love the morning of their wedding.
She may have thought I was crazy for this picture as I was standing on the other side of my car from her but I'm kinda in love with the results. :)
I absolutely love when couples do a first look...
behind me the guys were taking it in via their phones.
These two are so classic and timeless. Oh how he cherishes her.
and I just had to share this picture.. Ali and JD are both UGA grads and needless to say the majority of their wedding party and guests were also loyal to UGA so they were keeping a close eye on the big game against LSU. Yes- it was as intense as this picture feels.
Goodness didn't I say I had a hard time selecting what to share? The good news is you'll get to come back Tuesday for all the excitement and love that was shared during their ceremony and the celebration that followed.
