Sammie and Ralph
I met with Sammie and her sweet mother and really enjoyed our conversation. I loved how she spoke of her family and the key relationships in her life and how she envisioned her wedding day to be. Secretly inside I hoped I would be lucky enough to work with her, Ralph and their families. Needless to say when I received the email that said they've decided I was their girl.. I did a happy dance! Fast forward to their engagement session pictures. We met at Dancing Goats in Decatur, the location of their first date (that almost didn't happen). It was late, she was on call and after several text messages, a phone call and Ralph agreeing to meet closer to where she lived they went for coffee. He made sure she wouldn't have to cross the street alone and even though he'd pledged never to drink coffee- he ordered one that evening so she wouldn't have to drink coffee alone. A true gentleman through and through.
They walked away from that date having truly enjoyed getting to know one another. She enjoyed her coffee but he couldn't quite say the same. An Americano is a really rough drink for your first glass of a tainted water you always swore you'd never drink!
But even if it meant sacrificing a few tastebuds and breaking a pledge against coffee I'm sure Ralph would say still it was the best cup of coffee he's ever had. :)
They both really enjoy spending time with family, spoiling her pup, Maple and enjoying Hello Fresh meals together. We had so much fun just wandering the streets of decatur and finding some really beautiful light! I can't wait to spend the day celebrating with these two next Spring!
