Molly and Brian
Oh my goodness.. my heart is about to burst with excitement for these two and getting to share their engagement session! They're getting married at The Estate next Fall and I'm already counting down the days (with them) for that special day! I've known Molly for awhile now. She's one of the most joy filled, bright, beautiful and caring people I've ever met. Together with her parents and Brian they joined me in the studio for their consultation and sitting there I was in awe of just how incredible their story is. When I asked them about how they saw their wedding day playing out.. their answers couldn't have been more beautiful real. People. Relationships. Family. Friends. Beyond all the details and dancing, dress and cake and shoes in their hearts they're most excited to share the day with the people in their lives that have loved and supported them throughout the years.
Sitting at dinner with these two afterwards Molly shared about how her father is a two time survivor of cancer. How he battled it the first time when she was in 3rd grade and then it came back when she was 16. She shared how her parents handled it and did their best to guard her and her sister from the ugly reality that they faced- again. How she lived with her aunt during that year and how she became like a second mom to her. How when she walked into the Estate and it smelled like her aunt's house; it brought back all the love and warmth she was shown during some of the hardest years she's ever faced in her life.(This being extra special, as her aunt sadly passed a few years ago due to a cancer battle of her own.)
Sitting there hearing her tell this story- it all made since. The joy and life Molly and her beautiful mother bring to the room and share with everyone they meet. WHY it's the relationships and people they hold dear and above everything else. Through even the toughest battles this life has tossed their direction they've been victorious and they've learned to not take a single moment for granted.
Then there's Brian. An actor, they met just getting started in a life they've come to love more day after day. He saw her headshot at the theater and thought, "oh boy, I think I'm in trouble". They met and became friends. She moved back to Atlanta and then another job also brought him to the city looking for a place to live, and her mom suggested he live in their basement. (If you've ever met her parents than their hospitality and genuine hearts- it's no surprise they'd offer their home to a friend of their daughters.)
So Brian stayed with her parents and their friendship grew. Then one day before a performance in town her wrote a letter to Molly and poured out his heart. Unsure of where her mind and heart were but sure that he wanted to leave no stone un-turned. She read the letter and was overjoyed knowing his feelings matched hers but it wasn't until the end of the play that he'd even know what her response was going to be!
It's beautiful to see how Brian cherishes and treasures everything that Molly is. He values her talents and balances her beautifully. It's in the little moments, in the stories, and their expressions that you see just how genuine these two truly are.
What started as a friendship blossomed into this beautiful relationship. Two incredibly genuine and open hearts. Two people who appreciate life and the other person. It's something extraordinarily special, it's like a timeless love already grown old, they cherish one another with such pureness and gentleness and they have such joy being together it was such a special thing to witness and be able to capture.
Molly and Brian- I'm so excited for all the year ahead holds! You both are incredible people with exceptional talent and I have no doubt that you'll both go far! Bring on Fall 2017! :) xoxo

I don't know that I can pick a favorite but if I did... this would be pretty close to the top.
And all the fun was put on hold while we picked the grass seed from Molly's dress and scarf....
Loooveeee this one too!
Side note: If you're thinking, "Man that guy looks so familiar.." then you've likely been inside an AT&T store recently and if you haven't stop in this Fall and see why!
